We have moved from Glasson to an excellent location with great facilities at the Lakeland Leisure Village. Driving north up the M6 past the Carnforth turning? Ever wondered about the huge, Geneva like fountain on the left hand side? Reminds you of the Champions? (if you are of a certain age). That's where we sail. Don't worry - you won't get wet! Series racing takes place most Sundays @ 11am. The lake shore shelves, therefore to launch your boat wellies are essential to avoid wet feet.

We are a group of sailing/racing enthusiasts who like the cut an thrust at the start line and a tussle around a buoy. The RC Laser is a brilliant boat to do this. It requires little maintenance - boats bounce off each other in a collision, it is easy to sail but needs effort and concentration to win a competitive race. Whatever your skill level you will find competition and fun sailing with us.
Above all it is inexpensive and easy to get on the water. New boats are only £325. Second hand boats can be found and hold their value well. Compare this with the thousands of pounds that can be paid in some model boat classes. Boats come ready to sail - no fiddling with complex system; add batteries and you're ready to go! At Lakeland Leisure Village there are a group of likeminded people who enjoy racing and having fun. Come and join us.
Not sure if it's the sport for you? Peterkin (main suppliers) have kindly loaned us a club boat that you can borrow. Want to have a go? Phone/email Colin or come to the Lake - NB to ensure the club boat is available it would be better to pre-book the boat.
